'De glitter en glamour en tomeloze decadentie van de jaren tachtig zijn terug in Yakuza 0. Lever een intens gevecht in Tokio en Osaka met hoofdrolspeler Kazuma Kiryu en vaste medespeler Goro Majima. Speel als Kazuma Kiryu en ontdek hoe hij in de problemen komt als het incasseren van een schuld verkeerd afloopt en zijn klant vermoord wordt. Trek daarna de schoenen met zilveren punten van Goro Majima aan en leer zijn 'normale' leven als de eigenaar van een cabaretclub kennen.
Wissel drie verschillende vechtstijlen direct af en sla allerlei handlangers, gangsters, geteisem en uitschot in elkaar. Maak het gevecht nog heftiger door voorwerpen uit de omgeving te gebruiken, zoals fietsen, borden en autodeuren voor bottenbrekende combo's en woeste genadeklappen.
Vechten is niet het enige tijdverdrijf in het Japan van 1988: van disco's en nachtclubs tot klassieke SEGA-speelhallen, er zijn tal van manieren om te ontspannen in deze zeer gedetailleerde, neonverlichte wereld.
