Metaball League ble født fra en konflikt som oppsto blant alle sivilisasjonene i det heliosentriske systemet da solenergi begynte å tømmes. Etter mye diskusjon ble ledere for hver planet endelig enige om en ny tilnærming: en ny sport basert på jordens basketball. Hver kampvinner ville tjene Metanium for planeten deres, en nyoppdaget malm som kan brukes som erstatning for solenergi. Denne innovative løsningen stanset ikke bare konflikten, men fødte også en ny æra med sterk, men respektfull konkurranse mellom sivilisasjonene.
Utstyrt med høyteknologiske hoverboards, hansker og en Gravity Pack, må Metaball Riders bære ballen gjennom en annen fraksjons bøyle, laget som scoret mest på slutten av kampen vinner!
