Striderna har utvecklats till ”Castle Sieges” som utspelar sig runt de olika slotten i spelet. Använd både taktik och råstyrka i de här nya striderna, där den största frågan alltid är ”Vad är bästa sättet att inta det här slottet på?”

■ Politics-systemet, där en Officers karaktär och tillit kan stärka landet.
I Politics-systemet utgör interaktioner mellan Officers, och de beslut de fattar, grunden för en armé. Spelarna kan uppleva många olika livsstilar som Rulers, Generals, Unaffiliated officers och mer därtill. En Officers interaktioner med andra Officers stärker landet de kämpar för.

■ Lev dramatiskt! Ett utvecklat Edit Mode.
Spelet innehåller Edit Mode, en omtyckt del av serien. Spelare kan skapa Custom Officers med många olika delar.
Det finns 94 Musou Officers och mer än 700 Generic Officers i DYNASTY WARRIORS 9, så spelarna kan fylla sin Dynasty Warriors-upplevelse med spännande karaktärer.

Obs! Demon låter dig spela Tutorial, som innehåller en Castle Siege och Edit Mode. Custom Officers som skapas i demon kan användas i det fullständiga spelet på samma plattform.
